  • $17.5 million, multi-phased addition and renovation to Stratfield Elementary School, originally built in 1929.
  • The ten phase project was completed while the school was in session and fully occupied.
  • Two ground-up additions including a two story, eight-classroom building and a one-story administation building with a new canopy that compliments a new primary entrance to the school.
  • A full renovation of the exisiting 49,000 square-foot facility included all new plumbing, mechanical and eletrical systems.  Four obsolete modular classrooms were completely demolished and removed.
  • Extensive sitework across six acres of land in connection with a new storm water system, new utilities, completely redesigned play areas, athletic playing field, parking area and drive lanes.  Sitework included the removal of over 10,000 cubic yards of rock by blasting and crushing techniques.
  • The construction schedule was closely coordinated with school officers and adminstrative staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment and streamlined construction process.
