- ESRT Construction completed a 215,000-square-foot renovation of the world headquarters for this Fortune 500 Company.
- ESRT developed and executed a multi-phased plan to allow full occupancy of the building throughout construction and full operation of all business units.
- ESRT Construction worked closely with Pitney Bowes to develop a program that reduced the environmental impact of the project. Various environmentally sensitive building techniques were researched, including "Green" construction methods and use of sustainable materials including:
- Recycling of over 500 tons of construction debris in lieu of sending to landfill.
- Utilizing synthetic gypsum wallboard made from the slag from coal-burning factories.
- Installing high output / energy saving lighting with occupancy sensors for maximum conservation.
- Limiting VOCs into the air through use of earth-friendly building materials.
- A new set of communicating stairs serving multiple floors required intensive structural modifications to the existing building.
- Two new atrium bridges connect wings of the building that were previously isolated from each other, creating greater employee connectivity and interaction.
