- ESRT Construction completed two out-of-ground additions to an occupied high school and upgraded existing building systems.
- The new two-story, 42,000-square-foot building house twenty-five classrooms equipped with interactive Smartboards and wireless technology; science labs with state-of-the-art fume hoods, chemical-resistant workstations, flask scrubbers, ice machines and appliances; a computer lab; and a teachers lounge.
- The addition also includes a new 14,000-square-foot gymnasium with full-sized, NCAA-approved basketball and volleyball courts, new locker rooms, staff offices, bus garages and storage facilities, and features a high-performance Kalwall translucent building system and curved metal panel roofing system.
- A new landscaped courtyard with colored concrete sidewalks and curved "mushroom" canopies provides a smooth transition between the existing and new structures.
- School activities were uninterrupted even though the majority of the construction took place while the existing school was occupied. ESRT gave special attention to maintaining a safe environment for the Westhill community and successfully delivered the school on schedule.
